0:00Let's talk about Google and their latest discussion about AGI, which is basically Skynet Terminator stuff, right? So Google DeepMind CEO discusses AI progress and timeline for artificial general intelligence. This was just a very recent article. Basically AGI is when, you know, if you've ever seen like Arnold Schwarzenegger in Terminator, that type of stuff, when the artificial intelligence gets so smart, we can't control it. They're talking about a timeline for that. Very interested. But the reason I want to talk about all these different things today is because I make the majority, if not all of my money on the back of Google, if I'm being honest. In other words, I'm

0:35an SEO. I make money by ranking websites and ranking my clients websites on Google. So I need to stay in touch with what they're talking about. Now they're talking to the CEO of DeepMind, right? Google's DeepMind, which if you don't know DeepMind is, they have different models. They're basically behind all of this stuff here, Gemini, Nano, Gemma, all the things that you've seen on YouTube and elsewhere, how we can use crazy AI tools. Well, Google's DeepMind is all about that.

1:02They make these things, but something I found interesting. Check this out. The CEO described the intense work environment at the frontier of AI development, revealing he typically works 100 hour weeks for 50 weeks per year. Can you imagine that? It's ferociously competitive out there. Maybe the most intense competition there's ever been in technology and the stakes are incredibly high. Now he goes on to talk about a company that's a big AI company that you probably haven't heard of. They're called ByteDance or BitDance, right? Depending upon who you are. But they have created products that you probably are familiar with, such as TikTok. And they have a native one

1:36called Doin. I'm probably pronouncing that wrong. But if you, I mean, I asked GBT about these guys. I said, what is BitDance? It's founded, you know, TikTok. I get it 2012, but I thought it's so interesting if you scroll down here. Why is BitDance so powerful because of data and AI? It can track how long you watch. It knows when you scroll, learns what you skip, improves recommendations in real time. So basically it seems to me it's like the Chinese version of Google. And this matters because if you scroll back down, you can kind of see what's top of mind of these

2:06conversations. So it said, regarding physical products, he believes a breakthrough moment is approaching, but estimates about two years away. They're, you know, collaborating with Boston Dynamics. We've all seen the Boston Dynamics robots. They look archaic at this point. They say there's going to be a breakthrough. But if you keep going, what I really care about, which is pretty interesting, they talk about AGI has a 50% chance of arriving by 2030. That's crazy.

2:30That's very, very soon. And then, of course, the conversation also went down the rabbit hole of Chinese AI competition. Now we're going to talk about this, but if you've gone down the rabbit hole of China versus US for AI, I think that is the accelerant of why they are going after AGI first. Whoever gets it first seems to be the winner, right? And this matters for people who want to make money online too, but this is definitely broad strokes. So he says when it's discussed in Chinese AI competition, he acknowledged companies like BitDance or ByteDance are maybe six months behind, not one or two years behind the frontier, which is wild, right? However,

3:05he questioned whether Chinese companies can innovate beyond the current technological frontier. Now I'd like your opinion on this one. This was a little while ago, this article, Google's top AI executive seeks profound over profits in the prosaic interest. And so this was done in November of last year, 2025. And what we want to see here is basically what were they talking about a couple months back because we have the advantage now being in the future, we can see what they were talking about. Was it making sense? Was it jiving with reality today?

3:34Now I scroll down here and something I found interesting was this. And this is the CEO of DeepMind, which by the way, Google acquired like 11 or 12 years ago, an AI firm that now gives us all these awesome products by Google. And what he said is that what I've always dreamed about, said in a 2022 podcast interview is the ultimate flourishing of humanity to travel the stars and find those aliens if they are there. With further advances, he added AI could lead to a world of radical abundance and curing diseases and solving many of the big challenges we have. Now I want

4:05your opinion, right? If we do reach AGI, what do you think it's going to be for people who are younger? Will they have jobs? Because a lot of people are asking these type of questions. In the article we were looking at before, right, he advised young people to become proficient with AI tools, which he compared to superpowers in the creative arts, enabling individuals to accomplish accomplish what previously required multiple people. No doubt that is that is no doubt. But what I've witnessed online is that these AI tools are so good that they could be just straight up replacing people's jobs. Now this is a very recent article by Business Insider, DeepMind and

4:42Anthropic CEOs. AI is already coming for junior roles at our company, Wild. Now, mind you, Google and Anthropic, these companies, they have more money than we can imagine and they can hire the best talent. And they're saying that AI is already coming for junior roles at our company. So how should we unpack this? So AI might not be caused in a labor market. Bloodbath, but the leaders at Google and DeepMind and Anthropic say they are starting to see its impact on junior roles inside their own company. So let's see what the CEO of DeepMind said. He said, I think we're going to see

5:12this year the beginnings of maybe it impacting the junior level. What does that mean? The junior level, right? I've already seen it shake out. I've already seen it. I mean, it started with copywriting. You create a website. You don't need to hire a copywriter anymore. You can use AI. That was like the first copy. The words on the screen were the first like inclination that people's jobs are going to be replaced. Now, if you look here, I want to show you two things that matter, at least in my world, and maybe in your world too, you let me know. But basically, they're

5:39talking about jobs being replaced, this, that, and another AGI. What's going to happen already? Their juniors are being replaced in Google, the brightest minds in the world, arguably. So what are people who are actually making money online doing? And I would propose, and I'm going to tell you what I'm doing, I would propose there is two kind of bastions of safety in Google's ecosystem right now. And that's exactly what I focus on. Number one, number one is this right here. So let's just go to Google and type in mode remediation Dallas, Texas. So I'm going to highlight this second half.

6:13So the first half here is a service, right? Mode remediation. I could replace that with roofing, repair, or anything in the world that requires a real person to come to my house and provide a service. And sometimes the consumer goes to an office or a shop to get the service provided. And then we have fixed a location. Now there's a reason I think this is a big safety net nowadays with the world of AI. And here it is. I'm going to scroll down. So right here, we have sponsored results. We'll get into it more sponsored. And right here, this is something that Google created

6:46years and years and years ago. And it's something we're all accustomed to. And the reason I am sticking with local SEO, so search engine optimization, which is how I make most of my money, right, is because Google has already put the layers on the internet for local businesses. And I think it works really well. They haven't changed it drastically in a long time. Of course, you have to pay to play sometimes, but with our microsites, which we talk about here in the rank expand Academy, if I go to classroom, I scroll down here to scale in microsites, we are able

7:18to build out like $10 websites that rank directly on Google organically. And then people visit those websites, they call our websites, which are then answered by AI agents, like quite literally AI answers it and qualifies the lead and we sell those leads. So I think right off the bat, if you're considering making money online, do not do something like an informational niche website where you're talking about like dogs, let's say, let's talk about everything under the sun about dogs and owning a dog. Those websites are of old, they don't work anymore. Websites that do work are local business websites. These crush it, it's very, very much easy mode compared to a lot of things.

7:58So think of any local business that has a GBP, Google business profile kind of fits in that broad niche that is safe, in my opinion, from Google's huge updates. AI disrupts a lot of things, right, but local SEO, local businesses still is kind of easy mode. But then let's come here, which is a different beast altogether. This is how we make money as well. So two distinct different ways, e-bikes under $500. That's my search. And I always suggest people to click up into Google and look at the auto suggestions. There's a lot here to learn. People are typing in literally electric

8:30bikes under $100. What is this? What is this niche? It is e-commerce. Now, more specifically, what I encourage people to consider is high ticket e-commerce. I do not want to sell things that are low ticket nowadays, because that's a whole different thing that's usually disruption marketing. What I do is I want to be a fulfillment marketer. We already know people are interested in this topic. Therefore, we're going to build a website, an e-commerce website around that.

9:01Now let's look at what Google has done here. Very similar to local business, you have sponsored products at the top. You have popular products. You can optimize for both of these things. This costs a little bit of money. And then the organic stuff is all about how you structure your website. Organic traffic. Traffic you didn't pay for is the best traffic. You can still get it from Google.

9:23Certain niches are easier than ever. So if we come over here to the 1% e-com club, this is where we teach exactly how to create a high ticket e-com website. But let's keep going down here. You'll see we have more products. And then this right here is the dreaded AI overview. Now if you want to make money online, you want to try to avoid this at all costs. Why? Because this is basically Google's Gemini. They're AI eaten websites alive. That's how I visualize it. Google is able to take all the information that exists online and regurgitate it very quickly for the consumer.

9:59Do I think it's a good consumer kind of experience? I do. I think it's great. I think it's better than going through 10 different old school websites and trying to figure out information like we used to do. I think it's better. But I don't want to compete against Google's Gemini or their AI overviews or whatever you want to call it nowadays. Because look, that right there, look how good that is. That used to be a website. They stitched together a bunch of sources. If I click here to the right, they stitched together Reddit, YouTube, and a website, probably e-com website. And they give it to the consumer right there. But luckily, you can optimize for this

10:35and you can optimize for this, which is why we have a whole classroom dedicated to building this. Now those are two places you can seek safety and still make money online. And there's tons of different areas that are no longer even in existence like niche websites. So if we go in the past like two, two and a half years ago, maybe even three, there was a thing you can look this up called the Helpful Content Update, which made websites that were just informational obsolete.

11:01And Google put the final nail into the coffin with AI overviews. So to give you my take quickly, AGI, will it happen in our lifetime? Maybe, maybe not. But it's definitely going to disrupt everything just like cars disrupted horses back in the turn of the century, 1900s. Things are changing right now. I have seen people's, my businesses have changed. I've seen people's businesses just get totally slaughtered. And I've seen people make fortunes. But the key that I tell myself is this, you have to ride the wave. And every tactic, every strategy online to make money online has a timeframe where it's viable. It's like a ticking time bomb. Everything

11:42in life where you make money has a ticking time bomb. It's just the reality. But nowadays with AI, it's kind of accelerated. The volatility has accelerated. You have to find areas where you can make money right now, right? Not on hard mode or very hard mode, but on easy mode, which is why I choose despite all this madness, right? Google DeepMind CEO discuss an AI progress and timeline for AGI, despite him saying, basically, look, our juniors at our company, Google, are getting replaced by AI, which are some of the smartest people in the world. Despite all of that, there is still opportunity on easy mode for people to make money.
